Peter Hentschel, AIA

Whether navigating his sailboat or guiding the firm, Peter exhibits a steady calmness that maintains “smooth sailing” on land or sea. As co-founder and Senior Principal of Tecton Architects, Peter oversees the firm’s design, planning and project coordination in addition to developing the unique tools Tecton applies to its project stewardship; he’s also widely respected for his design flair.

A “Yalie” with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture degrees, Peter has been an instructor at his alma mater. He’s also traveled extensively as an architectural consultant for various archaeological explorations sponsored by The Smithsonian. In his spare time Peter may be found just about anywhere...Machu Pichu to sailing the Atlantic on his 48 ft. sailboat, Cassotis.
