ACE Mentoring - HFD

Today, more than ever before, the private sector must assume the responsibility of ensuring the future of Design and Construction professionals and the important role they play in Connecticut. The ACE Mentor Program is a not-for-profit organization serving high school students who are interested in exploring careers in Architecture, Construction or Engineering. Volunteers from professional firms serve as advisors and mentors, donating time and resources. The ACE Mentor Program guides students through the project development process, from concept through formal presentation, complete with their construction of a model. Hands-on learning includes surveying and structural engineering workshops as well as CAD (computer aided design) and development of study models. Each year scholarships are available through ACE at both the local and national levels.
