It’s not often that an Architect has the opportunity to design the same  space for two different clients...such is the case with Prudential Reitirement's ten story headquarters at 280 Trumbull Street, Hartford, formerly home to Cigna Retirement & Investment Services - also designed by Tecton.
Tecton's  mandate for the redesign captures the essence of collaborative environments while integrating concepts that provide for a variety of work styles including, for example, appropriate touchdown areas for employees who primarily telecommute.
The entire ten-floor project, including a new Executive floor with Client Presentation Spaces and a new Employee Services floor with Cafeteria, Training Center and other specialty rooms, was completed within the 11-month deadline established by the client. Facilitating the process involved creating swing space, managing construction sequencing, furniture installation processes and providing move management services.
Having surpassed client expectations, Tecton was subsequently retained to develop new furniture standards for Prudential Retirement on a nationwide basis.
