Overcoming the nearly square building shape and responding to the owner’s requirement that staff be able to easily reach all areas of the clinic drove the “internal ring” design, allowing staff to cross through Business and Laboratory spaces without walking around the entire clinic. An X-Ray Room and Sessions Swing Wing allow rotating physician groups to use the space, providing the community with medical services that may not be feasible on a full-time basis.
Having worked with HMG on other projects, our design team had the opportunity to further develop and refine known requirements, providing functional, aesthetically pleasing, cost-effective yet cutting-edge, designs. Adding a contractor that outperforms expectations to an Owner-Architect team that truly gels – with a chemistry that anticipates each other’s needs – results in a fun, “win/win/win” project.
