Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy

Driving the development of design solutions were several issues uncommon to most community facilities as well as departmental adjacencies for the organizations within the Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Community Center's, full ADA access throughout the entire facility for non-ambulatory consumers, and a complex, terraced site. Funded by community donations, government program reimbursements and grants, the 3-story, textured masonry building offers multiple entrances on two levels, alleviating backups during morning drop off and evening pick up and take advantage of the natural grading. Wide window expanses in classrooms and special function rooms offer views to an on-site pond.
Our staff has met and become known to the consumers and families who use the facility and many – including several with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) -- greet us with smiles, hellos and words of thanks for the attractive and functional building. Besides receiving the required schooling and care, those who gather here daily truly enjoy their new surroundings.
