At Tecton, we find the out-of-the-box thinking required to provide designs and facilities for use by physicians and researchers to be very rewarding. And it’s even more challenging when it comes to designing renovation projects.
Enjoying our long-standing relationship with Hartford Hospital and the Institute of Living, and the personal relationships with hospital staff that last a lifetime, the ECT/MSU is just one recent example of our work for these clients. Designing a Treatment Room on the ground floor of an existing facility, and providing a Recovery Room in an office area that formerly served a loading dock, were among the missions of this project.
The successful final designs overcame multiple challenges, including working around mechanical services such as large, main HVAC trunk ducts, piping and conduits.
