Tecton Architects designed Middlesex Hospital’s new CT Scanner Suite to provide the highest level of diagnostic imaging in a setting that is comfortable for patients and efficient for medical staff.

The state-of-the-art Brightspeed Elite Enhanced CT Scanner is set in a spacious room of soothing colors, wood finishes and warm lighting – providing a calming atmosphere for patients and ample mobility and easy access to equipment and supplies for staff.

An enclosed monitoring station offers a clear view of both patient and imaging equipment, provides protection to the technical staff during imaging and features sophisticated high-definition monitoring systems. An adjacent mechanical room allows immediate access to supporting system controls.

Tecton worked closely with medical equipment vendor, GE HealthCare, and the hospital’s engineering consultant to coordinate the complex installation of the scanner and necessary support systems.
