Tecton provided Public Safety and Design services for a new Headquarters building in Norfolk, Virginia. The $10.7 million facility is the new home of the 3rd Patrol Police Operations, Traffic, Homeland Security, Harbor Patrol Units Emergency Command Center and all staff support areas.

The building design is infused with a strong, modern, “high-tech” style, yet grounded with warm and inviting qualities. In addition to creating a rich, positive environment for the personnel, distinct sustainable technology elements contribute to the facility’s goal of achieving LEED Silver certification.

A substantial, light-filled common Break Room and large multi-purpose community Meeting Room are included in the design.
