Tecton conducted a feasibility study for a new Public Safety Complex to include Police and Fire Services for the Town of Avon, Massachusetts. After evaluating more than 40 sites to find the optimal location, it was determined that the new facility would be best situated on the existing site in the town center.
In order to best serve the needs of the community, maintaining the public safety presence in the heart of the community serves to revitalize the historic area that was once a thriving business district. In addition to the Fire and Police Services, Tecton also developed a long-term view of the historic center, beginning with the new Public Safety Complex and eventually including a community center, library, schools, and boutique retail shops.
The results of the study and the initial design concepts were approved by the building committee and submitted for funding approval.
