Tecton represented the State of Connecticut as the criteria architect for the design-build construction of five new regional fire academies located in Fairfield, Burrville, Willimantic, Beacon Falls and Cheshire. Our work included extensive programming and schematic design sessions with the academy personnel and involved municipalities, in order to create comprehensive requirements for each training campus. This resulted in three volumes of documentation and design for each academy. Tecton also provided assistance in the development of Requests for Proposal for Design-Build services, reviews of all submission, refinement of design concepts and standards, participation in the selection of the Design-Build teams and monitoring of projects through construction.
