In order to increase efficiency and tighten the public budget, the State of Connecticut undertook a massive project to relocate and consolidate all State departments into two newly purchased high-rise buildings in downtown Hartford. Tecton led the complete renovation, programming and move management for 2,200 State employees. With new way-finding, thousands of State employees and other members of the Hartford community will walk the plaza every day, publicly sharing a new brand and amenities such as outdoor seating, a revitalized pedestrian bridge, and a plaza level public café.
