Located in the northeast corner of Putnam County, the Village of Brewster possesses a deep history and culture, but experienced a gradual decline. Brewster established an autonomous governing body and has gradually built a culture of involvement, investment, and positive change toward a transit oriented revitalization. The Board of Trustees selected a Developer/Design Team of Record, formalized an expansive blight study, and reinvented the zoning code to specifically reinforce the Main Street District design vision generated by Tecton. Brewster Crossing will start with a very impactful first phase including dense rental units, an athletic center, and retail space all wrapping a new Village Square atop a parking structure.
