A Sleek, Updated Lobby for a Hartford High-Rise

Tecton was asked to re-envision an outdated 10,000 SF Atrium Lobby for the Goodwin Square Office Tower. With a new owner and limited budget, Tecton transformed the 1980s-era lobby into a sleek and contemporary corporate environment. Outside, a modern glass and steel canopy juxtaposed over the historic Goodwin Hotel façade provides visual interest and recognition at street level, while allowing visibility to the ornate historic details below. Within the lobby, a contemporary white color palette and pops of jewel-toned fabrics add vibrancy that attract visitors to previously underutilized space. Following re-design, tenant occupancy has increased substantially.
