Tecton is currently working with Lexington Partners to develop concepts to convert the former Litchfield County Courthouse into a 15-room boutique destination hotel. The historic 1888 granite building is conveniently located in the village center, and will cater to tourists and parents of students attending area private schools. Tecton’s design is based in preserving the existing structure and façade, with a blend of vintage architecture and modern amenities. Conceptual plans include site improvements, a concierge lobby, fine dining restaurant in the original courtroom, rooftop bar and lounge, and flexible hotel rooms that can be joined to accommodate family events.
