From Brownfield Site to Energy Efficient Asset

Tecton completed construction of a new 8,000 SF police station for the small community of North Brookfield, MA. The project was especially challenging as the desired location was on a brownfield, listed with the Massachusetts DEP as an “asbestos in soil” site. Cleaning the land and turning the site into a positive asset was critical to the Town. Tecton oversaw remediation of the property and design and construction of the new station, while staying within the original project budget. The compact footprint and features like automated lighting and temperature control systems, LED site fixtures and a hybrid HVAC system create an energy efficient property for the community.
