SMSA is a 750 student, 158,000 square foot magnet school for grades 7-12 in the historic Coltsville section of Hartford. The school’s academic program is centered around sports and related fields, including sports medicine, sports marketing and medical sciences. To support this specialized curriculum, the building includes a large, four court field house with climbing wall, fitness center, weight room, training facility, television studio, computerized graphic design studio and enhanced science lab facilities. The school also features a “Hall of Fame” concourse that celebrates prominent Hartford and Connecticut sports figures and teams, as well as leaders in the history of medical sciences.
