Sutton Police Station

Tecton conducted feasibility studies and preliminary designs for a new police station for the Town of Sutton, followed by subsequent new construction of the selected police station option. Tecton worked with the Town to usher the project through a public town meeting and a Proposition 2 1/2 debt exclusion, ultimately gaining approval for a new police facility that is six times the size of the previous station. The new station creates a welcoming environment to the public and includes a modern emergency communications center, prisoner and evidence processing, fitness and training facilities, an Emergency Operations Center, and provides for an open and collaborative environment to assist the department in meeting the service needs of the town. The project also ran concurrently and in collaboration with a town wide emergency radio communications system analysis and upgrade funded under a separate appropriation.
